April 15, 2018. Third Sunday of Easter.

News and Notes:  The Easter Season is a special time to celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation:  Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.  In the first two weeks of May, our second graders from both parishes and OLA School will be receiving their First Holy Communion at weekend liturgies.  Please pray for them and their parents:  that their frequent reception of the Eucharist will keep them close to the Lord and nourish them in their journey all the way home to heaven.

Here is an update on our 2018 Catholic Appeal Campaign so far:  As of March 23, OLA families had pledged $33,805, which is 54% of their goal of $62,343; and SMG families had pledged $24,830 which is 66% of their goal of $37,832.  If you have not yet made a pledge, please do so as soon as you can.  Pledge cards can be found at the entrances of our churches, and then filled out and placed in the collection basket at Mass; or you can go online to www.bostoncatholicappeal.org to make a pledge. This year, if a parish reaches its fair-share dollar assessment amount in the Catholic Appeal, and meets or exceeds its assigned in-pew pledge card goal, it will receive back up to 50% of the funds collected over the fair-share assessment. We are all called to do our part to support the ministries of the wider Catholic Church in eastern Massachusetts as well as our own parishes.  Blessings in the Easter days ahead!
