April 10, 2016. Third Sunday of Easter

News and Notes:  If you have not yet registered your child for Religious Education classes next Fall, please do so at your earliest convenience.  Our Faith Formation Team is ready to serve your family in whatever way they can.  Registering your child for classes in the coming academic year of 2016-2017 will help you set your family schedule for the following year; and it will also help our Formation Team prepare well to provide your children with the best well-rounded Catholic formation program we can offer.  Here is the latest 2016 Catholic Appeal update:  as of March 29, St. Maria Goretti parishioners had pledged $23,990, which is 86% of their goal of $27,797; and Our Lady of the Assumption parishioners had pledged $39,915, which is 73% of their goal of $54,938.  Both parishes are doing exceptionally well after one month of the Appeal.  If you have not already made a pledge to the Catholic Appeal this year, please do so soon.  You’ll find pledge cards at the entrances of our churches; you can also go online at www.bostoncatholicappeal.org to make a pledge.  Please remember, your donation to the Catholic Appeal will help support over 50 Central Ministries the Catholic Church provides in eastern Massachusetts; and once again, if a parish exceeds its fair share assessment in the Catholic Appeal, it will receive back 60% of the funds donated over and above that figure.  As always, thank you for your generous stewardship of your parish and the wider Catholic community.  Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
